Our History – The Undeloher Hof

The Undeloher Hof, located in the very heart of the Lüneburg Heath, was built in 1978 by the Schlegel family.

Since May 1992, the Brunkhorst family – Heini Werner Brunkhorst, his wife Inge, and their daughter Heike – has been running the Undeloher Hof.
Over time, we have expanded the hotel with welcoming holiday apartments, additional hotel rooms, and a cozy café. This includes Haus Uhlchen with 8 double rooms and a common lounge, which is ideal for groups. Above our Brunnen Café you will find 3 further double rooms, where guests with their four-legged companions are warmly welcome.

On the ground floor, guests can relax in a pleasant atmosphere in the small winter garden or in the charming Puppenstube, enjoying a slice of homemade cake with a cup of tea or freshly brewed coffee. Of course, we also serve a wide variety of coffee specialties and ice cream sundaes here.

The Undeloher Hof itself offers 13 double rooms and 2 single rooms at a 3-star standard. With the extensive renovation in 2015, we were able to give the house a completely new appearance.

Our restaurant provides a variety of spaces: the Club Room, which is popular with groups of up to 20 people, and the Heath Hall (Heidesaal), which can accommodate up to 100 guests. In 2006, we expanded the Undeloher Hof with a beautiful, light-flooded winter garden – an excellent venue for weddings and family celebrations, but also for conferences. Thanks to the separate bar area, this forms an independent and self-contained unit. We serve regional and traditional German cuisine for our guests.

To complete your stay, we offer a large carriage fleet. From the romantic wedding carriage (of course drawn by white horses), to the cozy Vis-à-Vis carriage, and all the way to the large covered wagons for groups – everything is ready for you. Naturally, guests with disabilities can also enjoy a ride through the beautiful heath landscape, as the Undeloher Hof provides three wheelchair-accessible carriages.
